This has been an unprecedented time for us all during the Covid-19 enforced lockdown.
For the first time since we first started in 1987, we were not able to demonstrate at our sites within Hamleys, Harrods, Selfridges and FAO Schwarz as they were all closed during lockdown. Thankfully, London stores have now reopened and the New York store will reopen shortly.
However at Marvin’s Magic, our entire team have been very active both backstage, behind the scenes and also very much in the spotlight.
During this period, we have been delighted to see more and more people have used this time to get into magic – from beginners learning and discovering a wonderful new pastime or magic hobbyists developing their repertoire.
Our online business with the likes of Amazon and Argos has exploded across Europe and the US, which has created a real media buzz.
We also reached out to our fan base and kept in touch via twenty four different entertaining Live Broadcasts hosted by our very own Sacha who kept everyone amused and amazed with demonstrations, hints and tips and magical challenges. These were enjoyed by audiences around the world.
There were also some special magic programmes produced in conjunction with some of our key partners such as Hamleys in the UK , India and the Middle East, Arnotts in Ireland,and FAO Schwarz in the US.
Our creator and CEO, Marvin Berglas has been very active in the media with interviews in the press and on Talk Radio plus several for the BBC as well as special guest interviews for the magic community in the UK and internationally.
We look forward to welcoming back our in-store demonstrators and customers in person during the coming months.
